einsteeen asked: what everthing you liked/didn't like at Fordham? (pros and cons)
Pros:
- Great location. It’s only an hour and a half (at most) away from my home and right next to the city. I don’t mind the Bronx at all because the campus itself was a whole different world.
- Gorgeous campus.
- One of the better schools I applied to
- Easy hook ups to events I normally wouldn’t be able to afford or go to…like Broadway shows. FU students can go for $20 and I would love to take advantage of things like that
- Many more opportunities for internship in New York City
- A hundred times more diversity than a state school, so there’s probably a better chance at meeting someone I really actually like
Cons:
- Ridiculously expensive. Price would be the only reason I don’t go next year.
- A really preppy school. I like how people seemed studious because I’m not exactly the biggest sports fan, but I’m also a little more laid back than the other people I’ve seen there (based off solely appearance, of course)
- It’s a Catholic school, which I personally don’t mind at all, but that also limits diversity to some extent.
Are you considering going to Fordham next year? Did you get in yet? (P.S. thanks for the question, college is pretty much 99% of my daily thoughts)
